Been here during my Croatia visit in 2017, as a recently discovered this website im uploading some of my old visits.
Dolova is an abandoned town in the middle of the Croatian island Krk. It's a very old town and no real roads lead to the settlement. it is only accessible by foot. This also means that no one really visits this town, and therefore nature can really take over.
The village was left completely abandoned in 1970 and nowadays its fully overgrown with plants and trees. Officially its still listed as a settlement in the municipality of Dobrinj, but living in this village is simply not possible in this state.
This village is a really good example of what nature can do once a town (in a dense forest) is left abandoned. Taking pictures here is bit of a challenge though.
