As many know this area is huge! It’s not possible to do all in one day. My friends were here for three days and still didn’t see it all. Going by car and bring a bike is my best suggestion.

I went by train and then by foot, and it was a hike, I tell you! Also, very good to know, if you take the train, ---> YOU NEED TO PRESS THE STOP BUTTON <--- , otherwise the train doesn’t stop at this very small station.

The area is now being torn down, so you need to hurry up if you want to see it. The land will be used for new housing I’ve heard. It will be nice because the nature surrounding it is very untouched and beautiful (if they keep it like that of couse).

I only had one day here so I concentrated on the gymnastics hall and the assembly room. These were my goal since I don’t appreciate much of military locations. I will post under the other title about those areas.

I would also like to warn people that there are a lot of security at this place. Once I had entered the “no car zone” I walked freely on the long, straight concrete road to get to the barracks but suddenly a white car appeared maybe 600 meters away behind me. This was the security. I laid in the sparse forest on my back for 15 minutes and they didn’t see me. I would recommend not walking on the roads, but instead take a shortcut through the forest. This is of course at your own risk since there are warning signs about left ammunition in the ground. Be careful.
