The sanatorium is easy to access, the fences are open and the back door too. Most of the windows you can reach are blocked with wood so there's not much light in some areas.(I recommend taking a flashlight, you can't reach some places without it)
Theres a lot of garbage that people left and the floor is covered in old files. On these you can also see the official name from the sanatorium, but finding this requires a lot of searching and I won't share it.
- there's a high chance it'll be renovated a bit soon, there were some cleaning devices in there and some lights were also newer.

On the same street there's another abandoned building but we didn't go in because of cameras and chances of being seen. If you do want to go in we recommend not demolishing anything, because it's easy to get it when you take a look outside the building.
+ within 1km there are 2 old barns, a greenhouse and 2 houses, these are all easy to get in.

Easy to find. Because there was a risk of being seen we came from the back, through the forrest. There were very many traces of vandalism. Sad... On the upper floor has been a fire. We did not take a lot of pictures, because a lot of it was trashed. But it was still a nice visit. It has a spooky vibe.

That place was very special to me and we spent a lot of time there. As mentioned it is a part of an huge complex but we parked the car in front of the building and no one came to look who is inside the building. But I visited it in 2019.. I don't really know how it is today and if there is any security around to check up. But it was absolutely worth the trip!

After we visited sanatorium du basil we also visited château wolfenstein. The risk of being seen by the neighbour's is big but we were lucky and we got inside without any trouble.
Once we were inside we couldn't see a lot because all of the windows were closed with wooden plates.
You can see that there where fires in some rooms and they damaged a lot in other rooms.
Still I can recommend this location, it's a beautiful castle and the rooms that still are 'whole' are really georgeous.

chateau wolfenstein was once used as a sanatorium and later as a nursing home
it is part of a larger complex , the other buildings are used a an asylum center
there are a lot of people on the terrain and security keeps an eye on the building
however I just parked my car in front of the chateau (lucky , I guess)
unfortunately the security didn't stop some assholes to start a fire in the chateau

The Chateau Wolfenstein or Chateau C. was really stunning. This mansion was build in 1931 by a baron, whose family sold it to the national federation of war victims. After that it became a sanatorium and a retirement home for war victims and prisoners during WWII until it was closed few years ago, because the safety norms could not ne respected anymore.
The mansion was build in a scottish style. The building is incredibly beautiful, there‘s a lot of furniture left. Unfortunetly, it has been victim of vandalism, furniture has been burned and destroyed, which is so sad and makes me angry, because I cannot understand the disrespect of those people.
Apparently, a part of the building is now destroyed by fire, the basement, parts of the ground and first floor is concerned.
