We saw this place en route to another urbex location and decided to give it a go. Finding it is very easy, there the three 60 meters high chimeis are easy to see. We were quite lucky, because we found our way in and wasn't spotted by the guard. Weeks later I read how other people got caught, because the place is actually guarded all the time, 24/7, so we were really just lucky.
Getting in isn't easy, but here's a little clue: look for the abandoned community centre.
The place is getting demolished, which makes the location dangerous. You have to be careful even walking around the building, there are holes and junk everywhere. The buildings aren't safe as well, especially the chimnies. There are 3 of them, but only one of them was open. It's in very bad conditions, so it's totally unsafe.
The power plant was built in 1950, and served for 50 years, giving employment for hundreds of people.

Most of you may know this place as a movie scene.
Personally, I realised it as we were heading to another address to explore.
Didn’t know it is abandoned, till I saw several photos of it on urbex platforms.
It is now being under demolition on weekdays. (But guarded 0-24 7/7)
If you have previous information about the access; it is easy to get in. If you don’t...well, that’s on urbexing ;)
We were there approximately on week ago, and the main building is already on another level 😞
We spent there cc 2,5 hours.. and could have more, but
1) we had other addreses on that day and
2) almost bumped into the security man😬( nice timing haha)
Back in the 1950’s this power plant was one of the gratest
industrial investments in Hungary.
It used to provide power to the country for 50 years.
The place is closed since 2001.
Fun facts:
-It had a chimney which was 105 metres high, but they exploded it due to safety reasons(...)
- while it was operating, the place and its surroundings had their own post code 😎
